One of my favourite writers, J.R.R. Tolkien, once said, “Little by little, one travels far.”
There are lots of ways that this resonates with me, because it’s the start of my story. I was always drawn to words, drawn to their power, their beauty. My passion for words has led me to a successful career as a freelance writer and communications consultant, and has brought me much joy.
My journey started with a small but meaningful application to study the heritage of the English language under the Chair of Tolkien at Oxford University. By the time I completed my M.Phil degree, I had already fallen in love with Ireland, and started work soon thereafter as deputy editor of Ireland’s only national wildlife magazine, Wild Ireland.
Little steps later took me to Montreal in Canada, where I launched my communications company more than 10 years ago. I now work out of County Kerry, for local, national and international clients. I’m proud to be able to share my passion and help businesses and individuals as they travel their own roads.
You probably have a story like mine. Little steps that have brought you far. I hope that I get to hear your story, and that we’ll have a chance to work together.
Carole brings great initiative and smarts to her work. I can absolutely count on her when a deadline moves or priorities shift. Project specifications can often be loose; Carole thinks about what’s needed, whether is writing, research, or connecting with stakeholders. I appreciate her flexibility and ability to make progress independently.
What makes helps make Carole successful is her versatility. She brings strong writing skills, but also good design sensibility, web experience, and excellent project management.
Her varied skillset enables her to take holistic approach to projects, and deliver from start to finish. She’s a delight to work with.

Like you, I believe in giving back to the community. I raise funds every year for local animal shelters, a cause close to my heart. My dog Ashima is my close companions, keeping me company while I write and nudging me for a walk when I’ve been sitting at my desk too long. She was rescued by the incredible shelter volunteers before I adopted her.
These organization depends on the generosity of animal-lovers to shelter hundreds of dogs, cats and other animals. Please donate what you can to your local SPCA. Ashima and her friends will be grateful for life. Literally.
